COO

Steve Campbell, Jr. is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for California Gold Development Corporation.  He has an extensive operations improvement and project management background, beginning with his Industrial & Systems Engineering degree from Virginia Tech where he also earned a business minor.  His broad-based work experience began with operations improvement and optimization roles in cellular phone manufacturing.  The first 10 years of his post-graduate career centered on working within large financial institutions including JP Morgan Chase and HSBC.  In these organizations, Steve cultivated strong internal customer, vendor and system developer relationships in project management and fraud management roles.

In 2011, Steve joined California Gold and initially served as the Director of Property & Asset Management.  In that role, he managed the California Gold properties, including lease negotiations, vendor contracts and addressing all tenant matters.  He also stepped into the role of Operational Manager of the California Gold Energy unit, which opened three ARCO AMPM sites and became successful with top-notch inspection scores and a focus on customer satisfaction.

Starting 2013, Steve’s role grew to include both the Accounting and Property Management departments of the Company.  With Steve’s background in operational management and affinity to technology, he has implemented multiple tools and systems to enhance the capabilities and efficiencies of the Company.  His role naturally evolved into the Chief Operating Officer where he leads technology innovation, process optimization, human resources and property management.

Steve and his wife, Janina, along with their two children, are happy to have the opportunity to live and contribute to the vibrant community here in the Northern California foothills.  His recreational interests include running, hiking, mountain biking and spending time with his family and dogs.
