Joining California Gold Development Corporation in 2025, Rob Remington brings decades of experience in commercial property development and construction management. With a career rooted in delivering complex, high-profile projects on time and within budget, Rob has successfully led teams through every phase of development—from concept and preconstruction to final delivery and occupancy.

 

Prior to joining California Gold, Rob spent more than 20 years in Northern California delivering projects across diverse market segments, including retail, wineries, restaurants, hospitality, pharmaceutical facilities, assisted living communities, multi-family housing, and historical restorations—even amusement park attractions to keep things interesting. His career began in the field as a carpenter and superintendent, eventually advancing through roles as project engineer, project manager, estimator, and ultimately owner of a commercial building company.

 

During the economic downturn, Rob expanded his experience internationally, working for an architectural firm in China while simultaneously establishing an international sourcing company based in Hong Kong. His global work included assisting the Island Nation of Vanuatu in rebuilding its electrical infrastructure, including undersea power distribution systems.

 

For the past eight years, Rob has focused on developing and building assisted living and multi-family projects, expanding his expertise to handle turnkey operations from site selection through facility operations. At California Gold, he leverages his strategic approach and field expertise to advance construction operations, drive efficiency through technology, and foster strong relationships with trade partners, municipalities, and stakeholders. Rob is a team player who believes success is built on training and mentoring future leaders, ensuring his teams are equipped to step up and excel at every level. His hands-on, “follow me” leadership philosophy emphasizes ethics, values, transparency, accountability, and building enduring value for clients and communities alike.

 

Outside of work, Rob enjoys time with his wife of 20 years and their three daughters. He’s an avid snowboarder and golfer—and when there’s spare time, he happily devotes it to eating and sleeping.
