Ron Woodall

CHAIRMAN

Ron Woodall is Chairman of the Board of California Gold. He has 52 years of diversified business management experience. Ron received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton in 1972. After his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps in 1968, he worked as an accountant for Disneyland, an auditor for the County of Los Angeles and an accountant/auditor for the City of Laguna Beach, California. In 1974, Ron was appointed Director of Finance for the City of Marysville, California, making him the youngest finance director in the state. In 1976, he moved to the Bay Area and served as Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services for the Sequoia Union High School District, managing 7 high schools with a total student population of 12,000. He then joined California Gold in 1981, when the company was still a small custom home builder grossing under $1 million. Under Ron’s leadership, the company has grown to include 25 subsidiary entities, with gross annual revenues of $50 million.

 

Ron is a respected local business leader and volunteers his time and expertise to many varied local government and civic organizations. Past activities include President of the Tuolumne County Building Industry, President of Sierra Repertory Theater, Treasurer and Director of the Tuolumne County Economic Development Company for 10 years, director and charter member of the Tuolumne General Hospital Foundation, Chairman of the Tuolumne County Solid Waste Task Force, member of the Sonora 49er Rotary Club, member of Governmental Affairs Counsel to the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce, member of the Adventist Health – Sonora Foundation Board of Directors, and member of the Executive Advisory Committee to the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Ron and his wife are members of Sierra Bible Church in Sonora.
