Scot Patterson is an accomplished leader in the Commercial Real Estate industry, and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of California Gold Development Corp.  With an impressive 30-year real estate background, Scot brings extensive expertise in commercial real estate development directing all development activities for California Gold Development Corp.


Throughout his career, Scot has played a pivotal role in establishing new business opportunities for the company, successfully sourcing and acquiring raw land, as well as securing lease agreements with national credit tenants.  His exceptional skills in relationship-building have cultivated strong, long-lasting partnerships with prominent clients such as Tractor Supply Company, Starbucks, McDonald’s Corp, Chipotle, Save Mart Supermarkets, Petco, Dutch Bros, In-N-Out Burger, Panera Bread, Lowe’s HIW, British Petroleum, ARCO AM/PM, AT&T Wireless, Applebee’s, Jamba Juice, Game Stop, Sally Beauty, Subway, Panda Express, Edward Jones, Quick Quack Car Wash, Grocery Outlet, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and many others.  In addition to his role in lease negotiations and client relations, Scot actively collaborates with lending institutions and prospective equity partners to secure favorable financing for ongoing and future development projects.  Scot has been actively involved and successfully developed 100’s of real estate projects in numerous states.


Before embarking on his real estate career, Scot showcased his athletic prowess as a collegiate basketball player at Fresno Pacific University for four years. He later took his passion for basketball to Australia, where he played professionally. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management/Marketing, which he earned from Fresno Pacific University in 1991.


In addition to his professional accomplishments, Scot is deeply involved in the community and enjoys coaching youth basketball, instilling important values both on and off the court.  Scot is also very involved in mentoring young men to pursue their athletic careers and to develop discipline and a strong work ethic.  One of Scot’s personal highlights was meeting one of his heroes, Coach John Wooden several years before Wooden’s passing.


Scot and California Gold continue to support many charitable causes such as Habitat for Humanity, Sonora Area Foundation, local churches, and many other local fundraising efforts.
